Kathy Spencer, LCSW, MHPE
Kathy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Orem, UT. She specializes in anxiety, trauma, eating disorders/disordered eating, and body image distress. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, a Master’s in Health Promotion and a Master’s in Social Work. Having15+ years of experience in eating disorder treatment she's developed a passion and skill for helping others find peace with their bodies. She has worked in various levels of care, including inpatient, residential and outpatient. Kathy is EMDR trained and IFS informed She uses both regularly in session. Understanding the need for emotional education, she strives to provides a safe environment to promote emotional learning, expression, and healing.
Kathy began her journey in the nutrition world, where she quickly found her passion of intuitive eating and health at every size. Since then, she has become an advocate for body acceptance and helping individuals heal their relationship with food. Her goal is to provide a space that allows you to explore what is keeping you stuck and help you build an authentic connection with yourself.
When she is not working she loves to be in nature and connect with good people. If you are ever in the wild, you may see her on the beach or in the mountains.
